Matrimony

“The Lord God said: It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suited to him. … The Lord God then built the rib that he had taken from the man into a woman. When he brought her to the man, the man said:
‘This one, at last, is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh.'”
(Genesis 2:18, 22-23).

The Sacrament of Marriage is a sacred event in which a man and a woman unite before God and their families and friends. They dedicate their hearts and souls to each other and to God for a lifetime.

To get married in a Catholic church, you must allow at least six months to a year in advance. Basic requirements include having at least one baptized Catholic partner, being free to marry (no prior unannulled marriages), completing Pre-Cana marriage preparation, and promising to raise children in the faith
