Saint Margaret Mary parish was established in 1965
to serve the needs of a growing Catholic community in Slidell,
Louisiana. Our parish family has grown,
flourished and diversified in its membership due to our commitment
to spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ under the leadership of
our Archbishop and the entire Magisterium, our belief in the innate
dignity of every human being and our commitment to Perpetual
Adoration.
With the power of
the Holy Spirit and the example of our Blessed Mother we hope to
prepare for future generations of Catholics by acknowledging our
stewardship of resources, by building up our community, by valuing

traditions and by striving to live by our beliefs with the Eucharist
at the center of our faith life in imitation of our Patroness, St.
Margaret Mary.
We honor, praise
and adore God the Father.
We celebrate and revere the sacrifice of Jesus, God’s Son.
We seek and are open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
We value, promote and enhance life through our liturgical,
educational and social ministries.
