| On February
9th, 2008, Soul Mates hosted its first Supper & Substance since Hurricane Katrina at Pinewood Country Club with a Valentine's Day theme.
Forty-five couples gathered for a candlelit dinner and an uplifting talk by guest speakers Lloyd & Jan Tate. |
What is the purpose of Soul Mates?
Soul Mates is made up of couples who sustain, maintain, and lift up the
vocation of married life by nurturing couples within St. Margaret Mary Parish.
We do this through a combination of exciting social activities; promotion of
marriage enrichment programs, and most importantly by establishing mentorship
and friendship relationships between newly married and experienced couples.
Who can be involved with Soul Mates?
Soul Mates is for all married couples. A group of core couples meets once
a month on the first Wednesday to plan events and programs to minister to
other couples of the parish.
Who are the Soul Mates core couples?
Currently our core couples are Scott & Johanna Braud, Colin & Debra
Corcoran, Armando & Carol Ruiz,
Shane & Sharon Sambola, Justin and Jennifer Veazey, and
Eric & Ann Wingerter. Deacon Louis Bauer has
joined us as our chaplain.
We’d like to become a core couple or volunteer to help
with events.
If you’d like to assist us in this ministry, please contact Justin &
Jennifer Veazey at 985-290-9389. We need you!
What is the next event or program Soul Mates is
hosting?
Join us for an enjoyable
evening of dinner with SoulMates
and a presentation by
