Cursillo in Christianity
Cursillo in
Christianity is a Movement of the Catholic Church to seek, find,
sustain, and link lay leadership for Christ and His Church.
It is a weekend “short course” in Christianity which affords
an opportunity to learn a method for having a Christian influence
on one’s family, neighborhood, workplace, parish, and other
environments. A Cursillo Weekend helps one to discover how
the power of a Christ-centered community can support spiritual
understanding and growth, by experiencing an encounter with
Christ, an encounter with self, an encounter with others, and an
introduction to the post-Cursillo phase to support you and help
you to persevere in your mission to Christianize your
environments.
Cursillo is not about adding another
monthly meeting to your perhaps already busy life.
Cursillo is all about helping you in all
areas of your day-to-day living!
Weekends for the Cursillo Movement of
the Archdiocese of New Orleans will be held at the Carmelite
Spirituality Center in Lacombe, La., unless otherwise noted.
Applications are available in the church office, or via the
New
Orleans Cursillo website.
Additional information is also available
on the
National Cursillo website.
