LENT 2010
Fasting & Abstinence:
Fasting - Ages 18-59 fast on Ash Wednesday
& on Good Friday,
limiting themselves to one full meal and two smaller meals
each day, with no snacking between meals.
Abstinence - Catholics age 14 and older abstain from meat on
Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and ALL Fridays of Lent.

Lent - $8 plate Hours 5-8pm

Catholics Returning Home - new sessions begin right after
Easter on April 5th for 6 consecutive
Monday night gatherings. You can join us for as
many sessions or as few as you wish. It's not
too early to call Renee in the church office for info!

Nursing Home Ministry helpers needed for 1 1/2 hours once a month on
Tuesday or Wednesday. Call the church office at 643-6124
for information.

We now have a Message Boxes on each credenza in our Church
vestibule! Is there something you would
like to tell our Pastor? Something about
our Parish, Church, Ministries, etc.? You
will find note paper and a pen at each box, please let us
hear from you!

SERVICE HOURS - At 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on the 2nd Saturday
of each month, you are invited to help feed the hungry at
the Soup Kitchen of Mt. Olive AME Church. For info,

Effective August 19th until further
notice,
Holy Communion will be distributed at all Masses
under one species only, The Body of Christ.
The Cup of The Precious Blood will not be available
as a precautionary measure to Mass attendees,
to preclude spreading the H1N1 Flu Virus.
Anyone feeling ill and/or running a
fever is encouraged
to stay home and take care. If you are ill
during the weekend, you are not obligated to attend Mass.
